What is WebSpeakup?
WebSpeakup is an application that allows you to browse with your friends, you can see where they are and hear what they say.
WebSpeakup integrates with your browser and makes it really easy to discover new sites, discuss the sites you like and browse with your firends.
Does it mean everyone can see where I am all the time?
You only share with your friends websites that are public.
This means when you visit secure or password protected sites (like online banking, webmail, etc) your friends cannot see your private information. (this means they cannot read your email, or see your balance, and so forth)
In general all sites with password protection would not be accessible to your friends – we do not interfere with the security on the sites you visit (in fact WebSpeakup doesn't work on https and secure sites at all).

How can I control my privacy so other can't see me?
It's really easy, you can right click on the WebSpeakup icon and uncheck "Share my location".
In this mode people can't see where you are but you can't see them either.
You can also right click on the WebSpeakup icon and click on "Disable". This turns WebSpeakup into disabled mode.
In this mode you can't use WebSpeakup and it's as if WebSpeakup isn't installed at all."
